Been using an iPad for a few days, as a laptop replacement, here are my thoughts so far…

Extremely fast, makes my 3ghz iMac with 12gb RAM seem sluggish, web browsing is way, way faster.

Onscreen keyboard is actually ok, I wouldn’t use it for an essay, but it’s better than I thought it would be, I can almost touch type on it, maybe with a bit more practice, I will be.

The pseudo multitasking does the job well, it never slows down and is better than I thought it would be.

It’s a very personal device, quiet, small, not like a slow, hot MacBook. Its a true personal computer, maybe what the Newton tried to be before the technology was available.

The lack of flash is occasionally, a very minor issue, but no biggie.

Looking forward to iOS 5.
